A normally calm and somehow sarcastic guy.
He is a former member of the KuroKage, a Ninja clan that controls the country of KageKuni. Originally he was supposed to become the next leader of the KuroKage, but after an tragic incident he fled from the clan. He was later found on the beach near Jinja no Hikari by Inu. He stayed in Jinja no Hikari and became friend with him while Inus grandfather helped him overcome his trauma caused by the previous events. Later he gets trained together with Inu in martial arts, combined with with his previously learned Ninjutsu style he becomes a strong fighter and skilled with several blade weapons like swords and daggers. He also learns some wind and shadow type spells but prefers melee combat. Like Inu he also uses different thrown weapons, but he relies more on precision so he prefers throwing knifes and avoids using "noisy" weapons like bombs, but he often uses smoke bombs to cover his actions.
He remains calm most of the time, but in some cases he releases his anger in short cholerical attacks, although it seems he is covering something with that. During the later events he looses control over himself several times and falls in rage attacks in different combats, ripping his opponents apart with bare hands and releasing furious dark type magic attacks. It seems he has a splitted personality at first, but when the party arrives in KageKuni...

Shadow dance (Ki-based rapid movement technique to evade attacks and closing in; movements are hard to follow with bare eyes, direction can be changed rapidly)

shadow cloak (Ki-based illusion technique to bend the light around the user to become nearly invisible, only allowes slow movement, get´s interupted when initiating other Ki- or mana-based skills, user still makes noises)

Ki-Burst (Special Guardian technique, unleashes aura fueled from the users Ki-pool, raises attack power and allowes to focus Ki in the palms of the hand for melee or ranged attacks)

Shadow storm (Ki-based rapid movement attack around and through the target, able to quickly change direction, allows multiple strikes against the target witth a weapon or bare hands; gets interupted if an attack is blocked; can be combined with Ki-Burst attacks;WARNING: high potencial to exhaust the user!)

Empty hands (melee attack to disarm the target of hand wielded weapon)

Earthbind (finisher;grabs the target on the head or neck and crashes it head forward into the ground; more effective on large or flying enemies; targets on the ground must be off balance first)

Screwdriver (Ki-based finisher grab; grabs a target from behind and crashes it head forward into the ground in a rapid spinning movement; targets on the ground must be send midair first)

Gale blade (Ki based long range attack;rapid sword swing that sends a sharp wind gale in a straight line cutting down everything in it´s path, not effektive against armored targets)

Aura Blast (Ki-Burst melee-attack with variable charging time depending on strenght: sends a Ki-wave into the target causing a shock and physical damage;ignores armor; high propability to cause internal injuries to organic targets, propability to desintegrate aetherial targets)

Aura shot (Ki-Burst range attack with short/medium charging time; sends a Ki-projectile from the users hand in in a straight line; causes a shockwave on impact; propability to desintegrate aetherial targets)

Shadow lance (low level shadow based long-range attack magic; low chance to disable targets optical and acustical perception, single target)

curse sphere (low level shadow based medium-range attack magic; small target area)

nighttime (shadow based medium-ranged ailment magic; disables targets optical perception,small target area;

Backwind (wind based support-magic;increases the casters movement speed; only targeted on the caster)

Intimidate (shadow based support magic, creates an aura for the caster that can frighten hostiles and keep them from attacking or make them flee in terror, only targeted on the caster)

Current design of Ryu during the first half of the Story.
I replaced the chestplate he had with a application vest, changed his hairstyle a bit and made him a bit taller.

Somehow had no better idea for a background, so i modified the idea from his last picture...
It´s actually more a practice picture for using my tablet and there r several details in here that bug me, but i guess it´s not bad for the first time.
